6 hour fishing trip July 21, 2010
We headed to the southeast and worked way offshore about 13 miles from Perdido Pass to our first spot and caught some nice Red Snapper and Triggerfish. Then, we moved on to the east and continued having fun with the catch and release fishing that was going of with king mackerel.

We are FISHING!
We are now running fishing trips. Granted the trips , are just short family oriented fishing charters at this time bu,t the local waters are now open! Thanks to Commissioner Barnett Lawley for opening the pass to allow us to go fishing again. If you have fished with us, take you a weekend and bring the wife and kids down and lets teach them that it is okay to let the fish go!

Orange Beach Fishing after Gulf Oil Spill
Orange Beach, Ala. - With the cap in place on the well at the Deepwater Horizon site appearing to be holding and the beach being relatively clear for the last few weeks the phone is starting to ring a little with people inquiring about fishing trips. We are open for business and will be glad to take you on a deep sea charter fishing trip but you need to know a few things. At this point state waters are the only thing that is open in Alabama and Florida

Orange Beach and the Oil Spill
Orange Beach, Alabama - We are still not fishing at this time nor or we getting paid from BP. This trend seems to be continuing all across the Gulf Coast from what I am hearing. We are looking forward to getting back to work soon as the mood in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores seems to be "Cautiously Optimistic" at this time, with the cap design that BP is trying at the well site.

Orange Beach, Al. - We have not been fishing in almost a month now and are getting pretty fidgety to say the least. I am hoping that BP will pay us like they say but, at this point it just has not happened. We have T-Shirts in stock over at the Orange Beach Marina dock store and would love for you buy some.

Gulf Shores, Al. - I have to say that there were no hidden surprise acts to the Jimmy Buffett concert but, he did not need any help! Jimmy and the coral reefer band rocked into the night playing all of your favorite old songs and some new ones too!

There are many species of fish to be caught off the Alabama gulf coast all year long. Springtime saltwater sport fishing is highlighted by Cobia, King and Spanish Mackerel, Amberjack, Triggerfish, and a variety of Snappers. In the summer and fall months, the focus seems to be more on the short family trips for mackerel or the longer multi-day trips to the offshore rigs for Yellow Fin and Black Fin, Dolphin, Wahoo, Marlin and Swordfish. In the late fall and winter, the emphasis is more on trolling for Redfish and Mackerel on the short trips. Offshore during this time, the weather may be a bit fickle but the offshore fishing is at its peak. The one type of fishing that is available year round, on the longer day trips and overnighters, is the deep-dropping for Golden Tilefish, Long tail bass, Yellow-edge Grouper, Snowy Grouper, and other deepwater fish in the 600 to 1500 foot range. Not to worry, for this type of fishing we provide the latest in electronic assisted reels to aide our anglers in pulling these unique fish out of extreme depths.

The Intimidator is located at the prestigious Orange Beach Marina just a few minutes away from some of the best saltwater sport fishing in the entire Gulf of Mexico. For the avid saltwater angler it serves as an outlet for all types of fishing adventures.
