6 hour fishing trip July 21, 2010
We headed to the southeast and worked way offshore about 13 miles from Perdido Pass to our first spot and caught some nice Red Snapper and Triggerfish. Then, we moved on to the east and continued having fun with the catch and release fishing that was going of with king mackerel.

We are FISHING!
We are now running fishing trips. Granted the trips , are just short family oriented fishing charters at this time bu,t the local waters are now open! Thanks to Commissioner Barnett Lawley for opening the pass to allow us to go fishing again. If you have fished with us, take you a weekend and bring the wife and kids down and lets teach them that it is okay to let the fish go!

Orange Beach Fishing after Gulf Oil Spill
Orange Beach, Ala. - With the cap in place on the well at the Deepwater Horizon site appearing to be holding and the beach being relatively clear for the last few weeks the phone is starting to ring a little with people inquiring about fishing trips. We are open for business and will be glad to take you on a deep sea charter fishing trip but you need to know a few things. At this point state waters are the only thing that is open in Alabama and Florida

Orange Beach and the Oil Spill
Orange Beach, Alabama - We are still not fishing at this time nor or we getting paid from BP. This trend seems to be continuing all across the Gulf Coast from what I am hearing. We are looking forward to getting back to work soon as the mood in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores seems to be "Cautiously Optimistic" at this time, with the cap design that BP is trying at the well site.

Orange Beach Deep-sea Fishing
Orange Beach, Al - At this time we are still shut down for our day to day operations of deep-sea fishing along the Alabama Gulf Coast. We remain hopeful that BP will stop the flow of oil coming from the Mocondo well where the Deepwater Horizon oil platform sank in April.

A Ten Hour Sea Angling and Gulf Coast Fishing Trip

Welcome to Intimidator Sportfishing Inc. We are a full service charter fishing business that offers trips from 4 hour family excursions to 4 day offshore extravaganzas.

10 HOUR TRIP

Avid sea angling enthusiasts will find the ten hour gulf coast fishing trip a delight. Fighting in that big catch is all the more fun when you have more time to do so. A 10 hour trip was the most popular Gulf Coast fishing trip for years in Orange Beach. This is the sea angling trip length that will get you a good ways offshore for many different species of fish. On this trip we mainly focus on bottom fishing species like Red Snapper, White Snapper, Vermillion Snapper, Triggerfish and Grouper as in the shorter trips. However, the additional time also allows us to fish for Amberjack as well. Along with sea angling for the bottom fish, we will also troll while running off shore and on the return trip back to the dock, which gives us the opportunity to fish for trolling species like Mackerel, Bonito or an occasional Wahoo. There is a lot of diversity built into this Gulf Coast fishing trip to help ensure its success. Normal departure time on this trip is 6 am and will encompass a full day of fishing.

Gulf Coast fishing for ten hours will yield a high variety of fish, including red snapper (as seen here).

A ten hour deep sea angling adventure with friends, family, or business associates is an ideal gulf coast fishing experience to get to know everyone a little better.

The Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill

Orange Beach, Al. - At this time we are still dealing with the impact of the oil spill along our coastal community of Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. The local governments in Baldwin County are heavily engaged in the clean up plans with booms and surface skimmers.

The harbor in Orange Beach is now open and we are ready to start fishing again this week. Everything is all catch and release and we must stay in state waters of Alabama and Florida but, it is a start. We are going to mainly focus on the 4 and 6 hour trolling and some bottom fishing. So come on down and letâ€™s go!

Depending on the landings of the current Red Snapper season along the Gulf Coast we could potentially have a fall season. I do not have any plans to run my boat in the vessel of opportunity program that a lot of my fellow fisherman have done. I will continue my work with the University of West Florida for their on going studies that we signed up for back in 2008.

Orange Beach, Al. - At this time we are dealing with the impact of the oil spill along our coastal community of Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. The local governments have started some pretty aggressive protection and clean up plans. We will be involved in the behind the scenes inner workings of this mess to get it restored to the way it was before the oil moved in. The harbor of Orange Beach is now closed to all non-essential clean up or governmental work vessels. Coming out of the Gulf Council meeting last week in Gulfport, Miss was the possibility of a fall Red Snapper season. Depending on the landings of the current season along the Gulf Coast will depict if this will come true or not, but we will let you know as soon as possible. We are still looking in to the option of moving the boat to other very near by ports to continue to try and fish as long as we can. I do not have any plans to run my boat in the vessel of opportunity program that a lot of my fellow fisherman have done. I will try to offer fishing trips, and try to continue my work with the University of West Florida for their on going studies that we signed up for back in 2008.
